Day 01 : Chennai

Morning arrive Chennai airport. Transfer to the hotel and relax. Afternoon city tour of Chennai visiting St. Thomas Church , Kapaleshwar Temple , Fort St. George and a drive past the Marina Beach. Overnight stay at your hotel in Chennai.

Day 02 : Chennai to Mahabalipuram, via Kanchipuram.(60 kms)

This morning after breakfast drive to Kanchipuram famous for its temples and silk. Later drive to Mahabalipuram. Visit the famous Sun Temple, later proceed to see the rock cut temples and Arjuna’s penance. Overnight stay at your hotel in Mahabalipuram.

Day 03 : In Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, day free to relax by the beach. Overnight stay at your hotel in Mahabalipuram.

Day 04 : Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry (132 kms)

Drive to Pondicherry after an early breakfast. Arrive Pondicherry, check in and relax. Afternoon visit Auroville and Pondicherry Museum or just relax by the beautiful beaches that run along the city. Overnight stay at your hotel in Pondicherry.

Day 05 : Pondicherry to Tanjore (177 kms)

This morning after breakfast visit Pondicherry city and drive to Tanjore, enroute visit Gangaikondacholapuram and Chidambaram. Arrive Tanjore, check in and relax. Overnight stay at your hotel in Tanjore.

Day 06 : Tanjore to Trichy (54 kms)

Morning after breakfast visit Thanjavur ( Tanjore ) Palace and the Brihadeeshwara Temple. Afternoon drive to Trichy. Arrive Trichy and check in. Later visit the famous Rock Fort temple and Sri Ranganathaswamy temple. Overnight stay at your hotel in Trichy.

Day 07 : Trichy to Madurai (128 kms)

After breakfast drive to Madurai. Arrive Madurai and check in. This afternoon visit the Palace and Meenakshi Temple. Return to the hotel, relax a while and proceed to Meenakshi Temple once again to witness the night temple ceremony. Overnight stay at your hotel in Madurai.

Day 08 : Madurai to Peryiar (160 kms)

This morning after breakfast drive to Periyar. Arrive Periyar in the afternoon, check in and relax. The afternoon is free for independent activities. Overnight stay at your hotel in Periyar.

Day 09 : Periyar

After breakfast take a boat / elephant ride ( subject to availability ). Witness the wildlife that surrounds the lake. Afternoon walk in Periyar town and shop for some fresh spices which are produced in abundance in the region. Overnight stay at your hotel in Periyar.

Day 10 : Periyar to Cochin (190 kms)

After a relaxed breakfast this morning drive to Cochin. Arrive Cochin and relax. Afternoon city tour of Cochin visiting the Dutch Palace, Jew Town, Chinese fishing nets and St. Francis Xavier’s Church. Overnight stay at your hotel in Cochin.

Day 11 : Cochin to Kumarakom (80 kms)

Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Arrive at the hotel, check in and relax. Afternoon visit the bird sanctuary or walk in the paddy fields that surround this beautiful lake island town. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 12 : Houseboat

This morning after breakfast board the Houseboat and get ready for an experience of a life time. As the boat cruises along the backwaters, one can get to see the rural and urban life that lives around the Backwaters of Kerala. Overnight stay on board the Houseboat.

Day 13 : Drive to Kovalam ( Trivandrum )

After breakfast drive to Kovalam ( 175 kms ). Arrive Kovalam, check in and relax. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kovalam.

Day 14 : City Tour of Trivandrum

This morning after breakfast visit the capital city of Kerala this morning or just relax by the beach. Overnight stay at your hotel in Kovalam.

Day 15-16 : Kovalam

After breakfast, day free to relax. Two overnight stays at your hotel in Kovalam.

Day 17 : Onward destination

This morning after breakfast transfer to Trivandrum airport for journey to onward destination.
